Hey all! Just another fast coffee-shop sketch to keep the blog going. We had another Drink & Draw night the other night, though with a much smaller turn-out, and I made a rougher version of this sketch. Today, I decided to go the extra mile and do a little rendering.
This is an old character of mine who I haven't touched in like three years. He was the leader of a small team of supernatural beings who dealt with the unseen threat from more uncontrollable otherworldly elements. Think of a non-military version of the B.P.R.D. A group that's a little bit rougher, a little less disciplined and a little more dangerous. All the members take their roles from the major arcana in the tarot. He goes by the name Mooncalf, having long since abandonned his true name. He's a powerful sorcerer (occupying tarot place #1, the Magician). His powers are drawn from his connection with darker, other-dimensional creatures, with whom he shares a twisted lineage. He's terribly powerful, but very withdrawn. His strength lies in the fact that many of the events and things he's forced to deal with often share some lineage with him.
